During my time as Captain, I had the privilege of assuming command of the 55 meter yacht Axis and its Submarine. With my extensive expertise and mastery as both a Captain, Chief unlimited Engineer and, Submarine Pilot, I confidently led the vessel, showcasing my exceptional skills.
For nearly six years, I flawlessly managed the Dynamic Positioning 2 (DP2) capabilities of the 55-meter Axis, fulfilling the role of both Captain and Submarine Pilot.

ABOUT CAPTAIN LES
As a professional mariner with over 40 years of experience, I bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the table. My qualifications include a Captain and unlimited Chief Engineer license, as well as being a Master scuba diving instructor (7k+ dives), Triton submarine 3300/3 pilot (220 dives), and repair tech. I have worked on a wide variety of vessels, from private and charter yachts to sailing and corporate ships, as well as commercial vessels.
HISTORY
I take great pride in my ability to commit to a job for the long run. Over the course of my career, I have worked on four different boats, staying with each for a duration of ten, seven, five, and six years, respectively. My safety-conscious approach has always been a top priority, and I consistently work with the crew to ensure safety drills are up-to-date and in compliance with ISM regulations.
